Grooming at The Cat Palace<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

All grooming is carried out by staff who have washed, clipped and dried thousands of cats. To us, it isn\u2019t just a job. Cats need to be happy and healthy, so if we can do our bit to help, it makes the occasional nip or scratch worthwhile!<\/p>\n

HEALTH CHECK<\/strong> \u2013 ALL cats get a free weight check, Body Condition Score (to check for thinness or obesity), arthritis check (pain management is important) and dental check when they come for a groom. This is a free service at the Cat Palace to help your cat be comfortable is themselves. If your cat requires a sedation, then Dr Kim Kendall does the full health check prior to administering any sedative.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The washing price depends on the weight of your cat, the density of the coat and whether an assistant in needed. Washing is highly recommended for the comfort of your cat especially if their coat has been knotted for a while.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Large cat over 6kg<\/strong> or extra sedation needed $250.00<\/p>\n

If pain relief required: $70.00 \u2013 $95.00 (always administered by veterinarian)<\/p>\n

Also Available: <\/strong>Vaccination (certificate will be supplied) \/ Senior Health Check \/ Urinalysis (by veterinarian \/ Dental Check \/ Body Condition Score \/ Diet and Flea Control advice (by vet or nurse)<\/p>\n

Worming and Flea\/Tick Control:<\/strong> Capstar dose required if fleas are found, can administer other flea, tick and worming products as requested or purchased<\/p>\n

Special Senior Services:<\/strong> Senior cats (over 8 years old) have particular requirements when being groomed. Often arthritis is the cause of the knots and tangles that require clipping and the vet will automatically assess arthritis and Body Condition Score. However, to really understand the metabolic state of a Senior cat (and especially Super Seniors \u2013 over 16 years old!), a Senior Urine Check (available only with grooming) is recommended. It is specially priced at $109.00 and includes kidney function check, diabetes check and preculture to detect hidden bladder infections.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
